The "Northern Lights" are a light show projected on the 19th and early 20th century stone buildings that line the northern side of North Terrace in Adelaide South Australia. This show was produced as part of the 50th year of the Adelaide Festival of Arts.
The display was created by Sydney based "The Electric Canvas". This show has been the most popular of all art events ever staged for the Adelaide Festival of Arts. The festival itself is a bienial event in South Australia which rivals the Edinburgh Arts Festival in Scotland.
